Participants will get an overview of the new way to manage your career in today's marketplace. Today's career marketplace is changing everyday as companies strive to stay competitive in a global market. As professionals, we need to know how to change and move through these changes.   


They'll also get a better understanding of the new playing ground, rules, and plays that they need to master in order to stay competitive.   They will also walk away with the beginnings of a personal marketing plan and ideas on how to build a strong personal brand.

Welcome to the Elgin Chapter Website!

We are glad that you have taken a few minutes to visit us and we hope that you will come visit us in person at one of our chapter meetings.

The Elgin Chapter IAAP has been in existence since 1970.  We are a group of diverse administrative professionals who meet on the third Wednesday of each month at the Holiday Inn in Elgin at Route 31 and I-90.  We begin our meetings at 6:00 p.m. with networking, followed by dinner at 6:15 p.m. At approximately 7:00 p.m., we have a program of either personal or professional interest to our members. Immediately following the program, at about 8:00 p.m., we have a very short business meeting, allowing us to adjourn by 8:30 p.m.


Elgin Chapter offers a wide variety of educational programs, networking opportunities and a chance to meet some REMARKABLE administrative professionals who have a desire to be the best career-minded administrative professionals. Please see our list of programs for the 2011-2012 year and plan to join us for one of them.  Come join Elgin Chapter IAAP as we begin Making the Leap to Remarkable! Special Note:  All members must call President Pat Pollmann, CPS, at 630-864-6395 or e-mail her at president@iaap-elgin.org by 12:00 Noon the Monday prior to the meeting date if they are coming to the meeting. If you call and do not attend, you will be invoiced the $17 dinner cost.


If you do not call or email Pat, we will assume you are not coming and no meal will be ordered for you.


If you are bringing a guest or have dietary concerns with any of the meals, please contact
President Pollmann to request a special meal.
